The Abhyanga - important information
Probably the best known and most popular form of Ayurvedic oil massage is the Abhyanga. A full body massage with warm constitutional oils, which are applied to the body. The actual massage takes place in well-defined sequences of movements with gentle, flat strokes, circles and selective pressure massages. As a result, body structures are beneficially recorded. Depending on the performance, this massage can be stimulating and soothing.
The Abhyanga is used according to Ayurvedic principles, among other things for detoxification. Therefore, you should then rest for about 30 minutes and finally shower off the residual oil, as this is enriched with toxins that it has deprived of the skin.
